Wilson proudly participated as the Official Ball Partner of the Athens Open 2026, the first WTA Tour event held in the Greek capital in 36 years. The tournament took place from 11 to 19 July at the Athens Olympic Tennis Centre.
Throughout the tournament, official Wilson tennis balls were used in every match, placing the brand at the heart of the action and reinforcing its long-standing connection with the sport.
Beyond the court, Wilson created a dedicated booth where visitors could discover and purchase products across tennis, padel and basketball, including equipment, footwear, apparel and accessories. The space became an important consumer touchpoint, combining product discovery, expert guidance and a seamless retail experience.
A standout moment of the tournament was Maria Sakkari’s journey to the final. As a Wilson racket ambassador, her presence and performance further strengthened the connection between the brand, the tournament and the Greek tennis community.
The strong public response reflected the tournament’s impact, with more than 6,000 spectators attending each day during its final three days.
