For the fifth consecutive year, PUMA took part in Ioannina Lake Run as the event’s Official Sports Equipment Sponsor. Held on 19 and 20 September at Mavili Square, the event welcomed thousands of runners and visitors for a weekend filled with competition, energy and memorable running experiences.
At the centre of PUMA’s presence was the PUMA NITRO LAB, a specially designed interactive space dedicated to NITRO technology and the brand’s performance running collection. Visitors had the opportunity to explore the Velocity NITRO 5, Deviate NITRO 4, Deviate NITRO Elite 4 and Fast-R NITRO Elite 3 and learn more about the different features and intended use of each model. The experience also included the NITRO Quiz with prizes, henna tattoos and dedicated photo activations.
One of the weekend’s highlights was the PUMA Shake Out Run, organised in collaboration with RevolutionFit, a local Ioannina gym and fitness community, and Ioannina Lake Run. The activation achieved record participation, welcoming around 300 runners. PUMA athletes Matina Noula and Denisa Bala shared their pre-race advice, while the full PUMA Running Team joined the local running community.
The team also achieved strong results across the 5K, 10K and 30K distances, including a new women’s 30K course record by Athanasia Kokkorou. Through its continued presence at major sporting events, PUMA remains committed to supporting the Greek running community and connecting product innovation and performance with authentic experiences.
