The wide range of materials that are recycled, thanks to Agora Modiano’s initiatives, includes cigarette butts. The collaboration with Cigaret Cycle – a company specializing in recycling this type of waste – as part of the #gopafree project has been extremely fruitful for the past year. A total of 47,120 pieces (11.78 kg) were collected in the two bins located in the Agora’s premises, from the processing of which 2.6 kg of fertilizer and 8.2 kg of industrial plastic raw material will be obtained. However, the environmental gains do not stop there. Not dumping them in landfills results in the non-emission of 75.4 kg of carbon dioxide and 4.1 kg of methane while saving 23,560 km of water from pollution. A highly effective effort – which, of course, continues into this year!
